former town hall

The former town hall of Purmerend was designed by local architect Jan Stuyt in 1910. It's style is Neo-Renaissance; the architect incorporated seventeenth-century architectural elements. The stained-glass window in the hall of the museum was designed by a local graphic artist, Jac. Jongert and shows some important scenes of Purmerend's history.
